Brendan Haywood Jerseys
Brendan Haywood is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He is presently playing as the center for the Dallas Mavericks. Although he was born in New York City, New York, Haywood grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina. Haywood attended James B. Dudley High School in the area and was a huge basketball star. He was selected to be part of the McDonald's All-American Team in 1997. Haywood decided to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after he was recruited by the famous coach Dean Smith. After being replaced by Bill Guthridge, Haywood was assigned to be Makhtar N'diaye's back-up but was used frequently all throughout the season. He helped the Tar Heels get to the 1998 NCAA Men's Division I National Semifinals. During his sophomore year, Haywood was able to earn a starting position in the Tar Heels roster and helped his team get ranked third during the NCAA tournament. The Tar Heels were able to get to the Final Four during the 2000 season. After Haywood's graduation from North Carolina, he was made the 20th overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2001 NBA Draft.
