Brian Propp is a former professional ice hockey player who is of Canadian origin and was born as Brian Phillip Propp. He began his hockey career in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League where he played for the Melville Millionaires. After his stint in the junior league, he moved on to play in the Western Hockey league for the team Brandon Wheat Kings. There, he got the chance to play alongside future NHL players Laurie Boschman and Dave Semenko, among others. He spent three seasons in the WHL and then was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers during the National Hockey League draft of 1979. According to reviews, he began playing for the Flyers in 1980 and proved many that he was ripe for NHL. He recorded impressive goals and together with Bobby Clarke and Reggie Leach, helped the team rise up to success. He spent eleven seasons in the Flyers and scored not less than 65 goals per season. After his stint with the Flyers, he joined the Minnesota North Stars for the 1990-1991 seasons. He was also instrumental for the team to reach the Stanley Cup Finals but unfortunately, they were defeated by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Propp also played for the Team Canada and was part of the team's success in the Spengler Cup. He also joined the Hartford Whalers and has recorded five Stanley Cup wins-three with the Philadelphia Flyers and one each with Boston Bruins and the Minnesota Twins.
