Brian Wilson is an American pro baseball athlete who is currently playing as pitcher for the San Francisco Giants in the Major League Baseball. He was born in Londonderry, New Hampshire and graduated from Londonderry High School. Wilson then took his college education when he attended the Louisiana State University . Wilson, who bats and throws with his right, began his pro baseball career after he was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 2003 amateur draft as a twenty fourth round pick of the team and formally signed on August 24, 2003. During his debut, Wilson pitched as a closer and pitched for two innings, surrendering two hits and no runs as he struck out three batters. During the spring training in 2007, Wilson was the closer however, his ERA of 7.71 caused the Giants to send him back to the minors. After Wilson spent much of the 2007 season in Triple A Fresno, he was then called up in August and was immediately used as the Giants' closer once again.
