Gary Waslewski is a former pro baseball athlete who played as pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Montreal Expos, and the Oakland Athletics in the Major League Baseball. He was born on July 21, 1941 in Meriden, Connecticut and graduated from Berlin High School in Berlin, Connecticut. He then took his college studies when he attended University of Connecticut where he also played college baseball. Waslewski stands 6 ft 4 in. and weighs in at 190 lbs. He both batted and threw with his right and began his pro baseball career after he was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1960 as amateur free agent. Waslewski, was not able to make his major league debut with the Pirates and instead, he spent his first four years with the Pirates' minor league affiliates before he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox on November 30, 1964 in the 1964 minor league draft from the Pirates. Waslewski then made his major league debut on June 11, 1967 and joined several teams in the league and had his final game for the Athletics on September 28, 1972.
