Joseph “Joe” James Wolf is a former American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He was born in Kohler, Wisconsin and was drafted by the Clippers as the 13th overall pick in the 1987 NBA Draft. During high school, Wolf was named as Wisconsin's all- time greatest high school basketball player because of his dominant 4-year performance at Kohler High School. He played college basketball at the University of North Carolina. On October 5, 1990, he signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Denver Nuggets . Spending 2 years playing for the team, he was released by the Nuggets on September 1992. He then signed as a free agent for Boston Celtics. His contract with the Celtics was waived on November 19, 1992 and after a month, he signed as a free agent with the Portland Trail Blazers. He played spontaneously with the Blazers but after a year, he was traded to the Indiana Pacers and signed as a free agent again. He continued to play basketball to different teams namely the Baloncesto Leon (1993-1994), New Orleans Hornets (1995-96, 1999), Orlando Magic in 1996 as well as the Milwaukee Bucks (1996-97).
