Born on May 5, 1935 in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, Jose Antonio Rodriguez Pagan is a retired professional baseball player who appeared in a number of Major League Baseball game. He started out in the Major League Baseball when he was signed by the San Francisco Giants with which he made his very first Major League Baseball appearance on August 8, 1959. He stayed with the Giants until 1965 when he was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Pagan spent his last Major League Baseball seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies which he joined in 1973. In total, he spent 15 years in the major league. According to reviews, Pagan is one of the remarkable shortstops and basemen in the history of MLB. He played in the 1971 World Series where he hit a after eight innings. He became a champion in that particular World Series and was part of the 1970 and 1971 National league Pennant.
