Marc Valdes is a former American professional baseball player in the Major League Baseball. He was born in Dayton, Ohio. Valdes took his college studies at the University of Florida where he also played in college baseball. Valdes pitched for a few teams in the Major League Baseball; the Florida Marlins, Montreal Expos, Houston Astros and the Atlanta Braves. After leaving the major leagues in 2001, Valdes joined the Nippon Professional Baseball in Japan where he played for two teams from 2002 up to 2004; the Hanshin Tigers and the Chunichi Dragons Valdes was listed at 6 ft and 170 lbs. He batted and threw with his right. Valdes started his professional career in the Major League Baseball after he was drafted by the Florida Marlins during the 1993 amateur draft. His final game in the majors was with the Atlanta Braves on June 22 2001. After retiring from the Nippon Professional Baseball, Valdes served as pitching coach for the minor league team Kingsport Mets from 2007 to 2008.
