Metro Prystai is a former professional ice hockey player. Prystai was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, which is a prairie province in Canada. Prystai's father is an immigrant from Ternopil, Ukraine. Prystai began his professional career in the National Hockey League with the Chicago Blackhawks in the year 1947. He was billed at the height of 5 ft. 8 in., weighs 155 lbs. and played as forward, whose major responsibility is to score goals. Prystai played with the Black Hawks for three years from 1947 to 1950, after which the Hawks traded Prystai to Detroit Red Wings, where he played from 1950 to 1955. Throughout his eleven year career, sources say, Prystai made three All-Star Game appearances. Prystai also played part of one season in the minors, before he announced his retirement, when he played for the team of Edmonton Flyers of the Western Hockey League.
