Peter Richert is a retired professional baseball player who played for several teams in the Major League Baseball. His first game in the said league was on April 12, 1962 for the Los Angeles Dodgers which drafted him in the Major League Baseball amateur draft in the 1962 season. He was part of the Dodgers until 1964 and moved to the Washington Senators in 1965. He also played for the Baltimore Orioles from 1967 to 1971 and was a member of the St. Louis Cardinals in 1974. That same year, he also signed with the Philadelphia Phillies. Reviews say he had a good MLB career which was marked by a career-best 195 strikeouts. He was part of a few All-Star teams which include the All-Star selection in 1964. He played as a starter for the Baltimore Orioles and recorded a 3.47 earned run average as part of the team. He also appeared in the World Series for three consecutive seasons from 1969 to 1971 and recorded a 2.20 ERA in the 1969 season of the World Series. He was also part of the Baltimore Orioles championship team in 1970 where they won against the Cincinnati Reds. He wrapped up his 13-season career with an ERA of 3.19.
