Richard Hamilton is a professional basketball player who was born on February 14, 1978 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Listed at 6 ft. 7 in. and 193 pounds, he started out as a college basketball star at University of Connecticut. Playing as a small forward and a shooting guard, he was a recipient of the Most Outstanding Player Award in the 1999 NCAA Tournament.
