Born on February 23, 1941, Ronald Kenneth Hunt is a retired Major League Baseball second baseman who also served as a third baseman for a few teams he played for in the league. He joined the major league in 1963 with the New York Mets, and stayed with the team until 1966. In his first year as a professional baseball player, he recorded .271 batting average and scored 10 home runs. He also had 42 runs batted in and was that year's runner-up for the National League Rookie of the Year award. In 1966, his last year as a Met, he was included to the All-Star team. That year, he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers and made a 2.63 batting average. He was then traded again to the San Francisco Giants and later on joined the Montreal Expos. He spent almost four seasons with the Expos and recorded .277 batting average with a .309 batting average in the 1973 season. In the latter part of the 1974 season, he was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals and played 12 more games with the team before he ended his professional baseball career. In his entire career, his records included 39 home runs, 370 runs batted in and appeared in 1, 483 games. At present, he is working in an instructional baseball camp in Wentzvile, Missouri.
