Ryan Wagner Jerseys

Ryan Scott Wagner used to be a relief pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds and the Washington Nationals in MLB. He was chosen in the 1st round (14th overall) by the Cincinnati Reds in the Major League Baseball Draft in 2003. He played college baseball with the Houston Cougars before playing in the major league. He made his debut with the Reds as a major leaguer in 2003. He played in a total of 108 games with the Reds then was included in an 8- player trade to the Washington Nationals. In Washington, he appeared in 14 games before going on the disabled list in 2007. Unfortunately, he missed the remainder of the season when he had a surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He had his last MLB appearance for the Washington Nationals on May 2007. Ryan Wagner rejected his assignment to Triple-A to be a free agent and shortly after, re-signed with the Washington on October of 2008. In his career statistics, he earned a run average of 4.79 and 130 strikeouts. It was noticeable that he had not been pitching well in the minor and still rehabbing an injury. Finally, he announced his retirement on May 18, 2009.
