Tadahito Iguchi is a Japanese professional baseball player who was born on December 4, 1974 in Nishitokyo, Tokyo, Jaapan. He started playing baseball in high school and went to Aoyama Gakuin University in college where he played college baseball. He bagged the Triple Crown and had eight home runs as member of the college baseball team. He represented Japan in the 1996 Summer Olympics and together with the rest of the Japanese National Team, he was able to win the silver medal. He was drafted to play professionally by the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks in the 1996 draft. In the first game of his rookie season, he hit a grand slam which amazed many baseball fans. He led the league in 2001 with 44 stolen bases and achieved 100 runs batted in. After the 2004 season with the Daiei, he went to play for the Chicago White Sox of the Major League Baseball in 2005. In his first MLB season, he logged .278 batting average and scored 15 home runs. He was then traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2007 and also became a part of the San Diego Padres in 2008. Through the 2008 season, he recorded .268 batting average with 204 runs batted in and had 44 home runs. He is currently playing for the Chiba Lotte Marines in Japan.
