Born on December 20, 1970 in Castlegar, British Columbia, Canada, Travis Vernon Green is a retired hockey center. Before joining the National Hockey League, he began playing in WHL for a few teams including Spokane Chiefs from 1986 to 1989. He recorded 137 goals, 164 assists and 302 points with the Chiefs. In mid 1990, he joined the Medicine Hat Tigers where he made 15 goals, 39 points and 24 assists. He made his National Hockey League debut in 1989, during the NHL Entry Draft when he was chosen by the New York Islanders as 23rd overall. He played for four other NHL team including the Boston Bruins and the Anaheim Ducks. According to reviews, his best season was the 1995 to 1996 seasons and this was proven by his 25 goals and 70 points for a total of 69 games. His final year with the Bruins was bought out on June 30, 2006 and then he signed a contract with the Anaheim Ducks on August 10, 2006. As a returning member of the Ducks in the 2006 season, he played a total of only seven games. In 2007, he signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Green was able to play in the 2007 Spengler Cup as a player for Team Canada. Aside from hockey, he also plays poker and has won in a few poker tournaments like the World Series of Poker.
